Logistics

This trip cost approximately $670 - this includes the airfare, food costs, excursion fees, and any souvenirs that I purchased. We stayed with a family member and traveled in her car, which kept our costs down.

This trip took place over six days in August of 2018.

Goals

Through my research of the sites along the Freedom Trail and of Revolutionary War leaders, I hoped to be able to identify their most prominent leadership qualities. I would then take these qualities and attempt to develop them in myself so that I can use them in my future career.

My research also allowed me to use what I have learned as a Psychology major at Southern Utah University and to reinforce this knowledge. I applied psychological principles that I have learned to famous situations during the Revolutionary War. The way that the community of Boston reacted to actions of the British that sparked the revolution was a major theme of my research - what psychological principles were displayed during these situations and how were did they affect the course of the war? I also looked into the psychology of the prominent leaders and what they had that was different from other people at the time.

This website is how I reported my project. It organizes all of the research that I completed and my application of psychology to the Revolutionary War.
